Muziekwijk Zuid was the first Almere neighborhood designed by the municipality, rather than the Rijksdienst for de IJsselmeerpolders. The steel facades by Fons Verheijen on Glenn Millerweg and the aluminum stairwells and facades and roof extensions by Teun Koolhaas on Wessel Ilckenstraat are notable. Herman Hertzberger's designs are also found on the latter street, while Inbo is featured in
