Blixembosch is a neighborhood in Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The neighborhood was built on farmland, and it is composed of many sub-neighborhoods including the Sprookjesbuurt and the American neighborhoods. The neighborhood's foundation dates back to the 1980s, when Blixembosch 1 was built. It consisted of the Diamantenbuurt. Blixembosch II, or Blixembosch East, was built in the Esperheide's old Philipswijk during the last decade. This neighborhood has streets named after fairytales and characters from fairytales. It is therefore often called the Fairytale Forest.
Blixembosch is situated north of A50, surrounded by Tempellaan and Hondsruglaan. In 2006, construction began at the Ekkersrijt interchange, where a connection at grade was created between A58 (now A50), A50 and Kennedylaan. The project was completed by 2009, and it is now the connection 7 of A50. The city of Eindhoven will have a number hectares available in the future as a result road realignments. They plan to use this land for the final expansion Blixembosch - Oost by new construction.
Blixembosch-Oost has two bus routes that connect to Eindhoven’s public transport network: Line 2 which runs from Blixembosch-Oost and Central Station every 15 minutes
