De Uithof, a sports and event center in The Hague (Netherlands), is located on the waterfront. The Uithof is home to many facilities, including a 400-meter long ice rink that's half covered, two covered ice rinks measuring 30 x60 meters, a 177 meter indoor ski slope and go-kart track. It also has a fitness center, winter sports shops and dining options. The Uithof, located in The Hague's south, is named for the Uithofspolder region where it was constructed. The 400-meter track is the fastest in the Netherlands, after Heerenveen (second), Groningen (third), Enschede (fourth) and Amsterdam's Olympic Stadium (5th).

De Uithof's history began on December 17th 1970 when construction started. It was completed and officially opened on January 2nd 1973. The only thing that protected the ice from the weather at first was the risers around the rink. In 1989, the rink was covered with a half-cover. A separate ice-hockey rink was also available. The complex expanded in the late 1990s with a new ski slope, go-kart track and climbing wall. A number of sport shops were added. In 2004, the ice hockey arena, dining area, and fitness center were destroyed in a fire. They have been rebuilt. The city announced in October 2015 that it would be looking into the possibility to cover the entire rink, now that EUR100,000.00 has been provided by the government as a subsidy for social goals.

De Uithof hosts a number of sports clubs, including Hijs Hokij Den Haag for ice hockey and HardrijVereniging Den Haag Westland for long track skating/short track. The ice rink is also used by many other skating associations and clubs.

Uithof has changed over the years. In 2010, the tenant/operator went bankrupt. A new tenant/operator took over the operation of the Ice Rinks on 1st August 2010. The tenant/operator operates the indoor go-karting, dining and ski slope. The ice hockey team Hijs Hokij Den Haag is not affected by this.
