Oud-Zuid is an Amsterdam neighborhood created in 1998 through a merger of Zuid and De Pijp neighborhoods. Prior to 2010, it formed part of the municipality of Amsterdam within North Holland province; on May 1, 2010 however it became part of Amsterdam-Zuid district with approximately 83696 people residing at that time (January 2005 figures).
Oud-Zuid is home to several vibrant neighborhoods, such as the Museum Quarter, Apollobuurt, Stadionbuurt and Schinkelbuurt. Additionally, this district hosts Vondelpark, Sarphatipark and Schinkeleilanden parks as well as numerous cultural attractions including Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, Van Gogh Museum Concertgebouw as well as Amsterdamse School architecture in Plan Zuid - making for an exciting cultural and residential environment!
