Jekerdal, a neighbourhood in Maastricht's southwest part, is located on the Dutch side of the city. It is one the 44 official neighbourhoods within the municipality Maastricht. The Jeker River borders the neighborhood in the west. Villapark is in the east.
Most of the detached houses and semi-detached homes in this neighborhood were constructed in the 1950s or 1960s. Jekerdal was a typical middle-class neighbourhood during that time. Some houses try to break up the monotony. For example, the villa Mergelweg by A. Deussen, designed in 1926, and the villas Laan van Brunswijk and Jekerschans, both designed in 1957 by M. Hoen.
A park named Jekerpark, built in 2004, was constructed west and south of this neighborhood. However, only the northern portion belongs to it (the southern section belongs to Sint Pieter). The park looks like a flowery meadow, with scattered trees and a path leading to the Jeker River. Five natural stone blocks have poems about the Jeker river engraved on their surface.
