Brusselsepoort neighborhood is located in Maastricht's western area. It is one the 44 official neighbourhoods within the municipality Maastricht. The name "Brusselsepoort", which was partially built in the early twentieth century, is derived the medieval city gates, "Brusselsepoort," that stood at the end the Brusselsestraat up until 1868.

Brusselsepoort is bordered by the Frontenkwartier in Maastricht, the Center of Maastricht, Mariaberg, Belfort, Pottenberg, Malpertuis, Caberg, and Pottenberg to the West.
