Belvedere, a neighbourhood in Maastricht's northwest part, is located on the Dutch side of the city. It is one the 44 official neighbourhoods within the municipality Maastricht. Belvedere has been a popular area for archaeological excavations that have revealed the oldest human traces in the Netherlands. The name Belvedere has been used since the late 1990s to describe a large area located in the northwest part of Maastricht.

Belvedere lies on the left bank along the Maas River in the northwest part of Maastricht. The landscape is hilly in the north and the west, but the southeastern area is flat. The artificial Belvedere Hill adds an accent to the hilly terrain. To the south, the neighborhood is bordered by Frontenkwartier, Bosscherveld and Oud-Caberg. The west borders Oud-Caberg and Lanakerveld. Sandersweg is the main border in the south, Brusselseweg the western boundary and Zuid-Willemsvaart the eastern. The main routes are the Belvedere and Brusselseweg. The area is crossed by the no longer active railway line 20 (Hasselt-Maastricht).
