Beatrixhaven, a neighborhood in Maastricht's northeastern part, is an industrial and residential area. The neighborhood is one of 44 officially recognized neighborhoods in the Maastricht Municipality. It is located north of Limmel, in the northeastern part of Maastricht. Borgharen, Itteren and the Julian Canal are located on the western side of the canal. This canal is connected to the Beatrixhaven Harbor. Fregatweg, Willem Alexanderweg are the main roads in the south. A connecting road was built between the Kruisdonk intersection and the industrial area, allowing a direct link between the industrial zone and the A2. The industrial area is connected by a total of 4,3 kilometers of railway. This railway connects various companies to the Maastricht - Venlo railway. Maastricht North Station and the adjacent P+R area were put to use by the end of 2013, primarily to accommodate visitors to the centre.
